There’s nothing more natural than having your period. I’m really comfortable talking about it, as you may have noticed!;) But it’s not like everyone can handle hearing about periods, especially guys! When I speak about a vagina, vulva, yeast infections or, heaven forbid, my monthly flow, my boyfriend gets all out of whack…

This gave me the idea to come up with a list of what comes to mind for guys when they hear those feared words: “I have my period.”

1- “Why is she telling me that!?!”

Some description

2- “Yuck!”

Some description

3- “AHHHH! Blood! Blood freaks me out. How does she handle that for a week!?”

Some description

4- "That's just great. Hormone overload… I don’t wanna deal with that. Ba-bye!”

Some description

5- “DAMN it.”

Some description

6- “Awkward, awkward, awkward, awkward, awkward …”

Some description

7- “Ahhhhh… Alrighty then…”

Some description

8-“As long as she doesn’t ask me to buy tampons for her…”

Some description

9- “Yeah! I can spend more time with the guys while she catches up on her chick flicks!”

 Some descriptionSome description

10- “I guess that means no sex?!”

Some description

11- “Oh it’s my lucky week!”

Some description

And the reactions that we most appreciate:

12- “It’s fine!”

Some description

13- “I’m going to help take her mind off it a bit!”

Some description

14- “You’re going to be fine. Come here, you!”

Some description

Whatever their reaction, we love them all the same. Some people are embarrassed talking about it, and that’s okay! But just know that you (girls, I mean you) shouldn’t be ashamed to talk about your body and what makes it tick. Vagina! Vulva! Menstruation! These words are not taboo. We are women and proud of it! Here us roar!

How does your boyfriend react when you have your period?
